How Navtrak Works

	GPS Satellites provide location information... As many as 12 GPS Satellites orbiting the earth supply the mobile manager with its location coordinates, traveling speed, heading and various other pieces of data. Using triangulation, the actual position is derived and sent to the mobile manager nearly every second....
	Location data is sent to the vehicle.. The vehicle receives this data, stores it, and prepares it for transmission to a wireless internet provider....If there is no carrier signal available, the Mobile Manager® will buffer the data until wireless coverage improves...
	It's time to report a position. From the vehicle to the Wireless Carrier, while the vehicle is moving, the transmission is sent on a 5 minute schedule to the Navtrak NOC. If the vehicle is parked, it will report its position every hour on that same schedule...
	The final step, on to your Navtrak Software. From the Navtrak NOC to your Navtrak Software the data is sent as soon as it arrives. All events, switches and vehicle positions are also recorded in a database for viewing reports through and internet browser.
